| I had a happy college moment today when we went to the Case Western farm and went on a hay ride. | | |
| So the other day I was missing Cambridge and I started playing Sean Paul and it made me feel better. =)
You know I've been lazy this whole summer, I could maybe be lazy for a few months and still not get tired of being lazy. But the truth is I'm happiest when I'm working hard and accomplishing things.
The big question I keep asking myself is AM I READY FOR COLLEGE? ha. Half of me says yes it will be hard work but it will be a good time. The other half is is scared to go all the way to Ohio and know 0 people and the closest people that I know are 10 hours away. So I suppose I will make new friends. But growing up I was a shy kid. I've changed since then but I still have my shy moments. The image that keeps coming into my mind is my aunt, uncle, and cousin dropping me off at my dorm and then a few hours later saying "Ok see you at Thanksgiving bye"
I'm trying to get a Texas driver's license. Anyone know if you need a certificate to show you completed driver's ed to take the test. Cause I didn't bring it here. According to Kay you just say you finished the course and that's it. ugh I need to practice parrallel parking.
Much love, Samantha | | |
| Hey you guys. I am in Korea and everywhere there are green mountains.
My uncle owns a factory and we live right next to it. So sometimes I get bored cause the kids are at school except for my cousin Hong (the one that was staying with us in Cambridge). And you can't go anywhere without a car. And even with a car takes a while to get somewhere cause you have mountains in the way. Its funny how the highlight of my day yesterday was when I went to this supermarket/mall place with my whole family.
Today we drove three hours to my grandfather's grave. I never acutally met him. He died long before I was born. But everytime I visit Korea we go there. The drive used to be 6 hours but now its 3 cause new roads were built. We had to kinda bushwack up the mountain to his grave. I saw a bright blue bug and got kinda scared. I mean come on bright blue? Quite flamboyant reminded me of those poisionous tree frogs. Then I saw a bright red bug and that didn't make the situation any better. But my cousin killed it with his shoe.
Well at the grave we did the traditional offering of food, praying and then burning paper. The paper is suppossed to be like money and we burn it so that the ashes fly away and go to heaven so my grandfather will always be rich in heaven. =)
I found out who my roomate is! She sent me a message on facebook. She seems like a nice person. She also seems normal so I am very relieved. I am living in the house called Juniper and its your typical dorm. I could of picked suite style houses but I don't really care that much. There is a house called Mistletoe. Isn't that cute. I wonder what it looks like around christmas. Mistletoes hanging everywhere and people smooching. Maybe meathead guys pick that dorm thinking they'll get lucky. Haha I dunno I'm being stupid ok this is long enough.
Hope everyone is doing well! | | |
| I haven't updated this thing in over a month and a half. I think that's a record.
I don't have much to say the truth is. I've graudated and enjoying my last week here with my friends before I go to Korea and Texas. I leave next Thursday and I basically won't be back. So if you wanna see me before I leave just give a call. Everyone seems to be staying around for a while. I think i'm one of the first people to leave.
I know it kinda sucks that I'm leaving so soon. But I owe my family some time before I got to college since I haven't seem them in so long and it will be nice to see them. I realized how much I truly love Cambridge and all my friends here. There is something about this city everyone here is undescribable. All my fellow graduates go to college and spread the love and use the word salted a lot. Did our school start that word? I have no idea but it seems like it.
But don't think of it as one week left of me. Think of it as many years of high school spent together and many memories to last. I'm always here if you need me.
Much Love,
Sammie | | |
